Ian has more than 40 years’ experience in the property and facilities management arena advising both public and private sector clients on a variety of projects in the UK, Caribbean and worldwide. His experience working for organisations including Carillion, Haden, Amey and John Laing covers the education, healthcare, law enforcement, residential, corporate headquarters and public sector buildings.
A chartered surveyor by background, Ian has worked on large construction and infrastructure projects before transferring to operations, working on maintenance and facilities management contracts, and eventually becoming involved in public private partnership (PPP) contracts. With an in-depth understanding of how buildings are designed, Ian appreciates how they should optimally operate. He has a comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, facilities management, estate management and construction contracts. His core skills lie in developing systems and processes to enable contracts to operate effectively.
Ian is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management and the Institute of Directors.
He is the founding director of ACE, clients' projects and is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the firm as well as the commercial viability of client’s projects.
